EV SSLs Offer Free Premium DNS

Date Submitted: 7-15-2011 by GoDaddy Expert  Rachel

Not what you're looking for?
We want your feedback!

Starting today, when you purchase a new Premium Extended Validation (EV) SSL, you get a free Premium DNS account! This high-security combo is just what you need to prevent hackers from hijacking your site and stealing visitors’ information.

Premium EV SSL certificates provide an increased level of security for your website’s transactions. In addition, they display a green address bar that lets your site’s visitors know we’ve authenticated your credentials according to a stringent, standardized vetting process. For more information, see What is a Premium Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificate?

With Premium DNS, you can add another level of security: Domain Name System Security Extensions (DNSSEC). DNSSEC addresses identified security risks and helps prevent malicious activities like cache poisoning, pharming, and man-in-the-middle attacks. Even better, with Premium DNS, we fully manage the DNSSEC for you! For more information, see What is DNSSEC? and Enabling DNSSEC in Your Premium DNS Account.

DNSSEC is just one of the many Premium DNS features that adds power, flexibility, and control to your DNS management. For more information, see our Premium DNS Help.

IMPORTANT: This offer does not apply to existing EV SSLs or Premium DNS accounts, and you must set up your new EV SSL before you can set up your free Premium DNS account. Premium DNS is free for as long as the EV SSL is valid, and we will downgrade the account to Standard DNS if you cancel the EV SSL or it expires. To keep your Premium DNS settings, you should purchase a paid Premium DNS plan before the cancellation or expiration of the EV SSL.

For more information, see Setting up Your Free Premium DNS Account.
