Fax Thru Email Tip: Send Using .PDF Format
Using Fax Thru Email? Here’s a tip: Use .PDF format when you send Microsoft® Word® documents. Just preview the print job in Word, and then save the preview as a .PDF.
Thing is, due to formatting in Word — such as breaks and headers — faxes you send with Fax Thru Email often show up on the receiving end with more pages than you might anticipate and note on your cover sheets.
For example, say you send a 10-page document with a cover sheet. You’d probably note on that cover sheet there are 11 pages in the transmission. However, it wouldn’t be uncommon for more to show up.
It might cause a bit of confusion on the receiving end. (And make it seem like you can’t count so good.)
However, by using a standard page-sized .PDF, you can ensure faxes show up with the amount of pages you expected — and noted on cover sheets.
