GoDaddy for BlackBerry Mobile

Date Submitted: 3-19-2010 by GoDaddy Contributor  MJW

Not what you're looking for?
We want your feedback!

GoDaddy has had an iPhone app on the market for quite some time now, but recognizes that BlackBerry smartphones still outnumber iPhone, and are amongst the most popular and numerous on the planet. We are pleased to announce the release of GoDaddy.com Mobile version 1.0 for BlackBerry.

Our application permits lightning quick Domain Registration & Management, WHOIS lookups, and purchases of Hosting and other products from our catalog. You can even check your GoDaddy Mobile Mail from within the app.

It requires BlackBerry OS 4.5 or greater, which covers the great majority of you.

Go to http://m.godaddy.com on your BlackBerry and try it out!

Thanks,

GoDaddy Mobile Team

I installed the app, and I am able to login fine, however when I click on Management I get:

    Connection Refused
    mya.godaddymobile.com:443

    Blackberry Bold 9700

Also is it possible to add a icon for Contact Manager (CRM) it would be extremely useful to be able to view/search my contacts while traveling, editing them would be nice, but not required.

    Hi Duane,
Thanks for trying our Blackberry application and providing feedback. Sorry to hear that you are experiencing critical errors. We researched this issue and found that is is most likely caused by a service plan configuration issue. RIM has a number of articles on the topic that may help you resolve the problem. Here are links to a couple of them:

Please let us know if these articles were helpful, and if you were able to resolve the problem.

One more adjustment that may work for you:
Under TLS in the Settings menu, change “Allow HTTPS: Redirections” from No to Yes.

People have reported some success with this adjustment.
