Google’s Safe Browsing and Website Protection Site Scanner
It always happens so quickly.
One minute you’re running a successful website, and the next you’re getting a notice saying your site is on Google’s Safe Browsing. Incredibly frustrating, right?
In the process of cleaning up your site, one of the easiest solutions is Website Protection Site Scanner, because:
- It looks for any potentially infected links on your site.
- It lets you request that the Customer Security Advisor Team investigate your site for malicious code, provided you send us a sample of where you think the code is located.
- It has the potential of preventing future attacks by showing you just where your code and website are most vulnerable.
Pretty solid, right? However, it’s extremely important to remember that Site Scanner does not remove your website from Google’s Safe Browsing, or any content that is malicious. In order to remove your website, you must fix the infected areas, and then request a malware review from Google.
