UPDATE: Here’s a couple of details about yesterday’s attack from Neil Warner, Go Daddy Chief Information Officer.

An attack impacting several hundred accounts happened this afternoon. Go Daddy is working with other top hosting providers and security experts to gather information to stop the criminals initiating these exploits.

We have contacted the malware site registrar to remove the offending domain from the Internet, in order to block the attack. As part of our investigation, Go Daddy has launched a fact-finding tool to collect information about your experience. If you suspect your site was impacted, please fill out our security submission form, located here – http://www.godaddy.com/securityissue.

Thank you,
Scott Gerlach

Hi, can you guys please fix this issue with malware attacks? My site, http://frombottomup.com/ was hacked again today and sometimes it damages your reputation. This is the 4th time my site has been hacked and I am hosted with you guys, GoDaddy.

It is just really frustrating as a customer because I am paying every month to have secure hosting, not one that is always being attacked every single month. I honestly think my some of my visitors have lost trust in my site because of the viruses (I have virus protection and it still goes through) that happen.

The reason I have been hosted so long with you guys is because I have faith that you guys will fixed this issue, but I am starting to lose faith because this issue happens over and over again, and if this happens again, I am probably going to switch to another hosting service. Thanks.

After months of this now, why do the attacks keep happening, and why haven’t you been able to stop them from getting in yet?

I don’t know if my problems are caused by virus attacks or not, but I haven’t been able to access my website or my files for two days now. From some of the comments I’ve read, this seems to be a serious problem occuring frequently with GoDaddy. I’m not paying to sit here and twiddle my thumbs. I’m behind in my work now, thanks to GoDaddy. No doubt I will be changing to a different hosting site in the very near future!

My business website is being regularly attacked by the same malware/virus. It has become a consistent problem. My webmaster says it’s a Godaddy issue and repeated attempts to get Godaddy to correct the problem have failed. The only solution that Godaddy offers (which isn’t a solution) is to offer to charge me an extra $10 a month for “detection software” that actually repairs nothing. On top of this, it costs me money every time I have to send my webmaster in to clean it up. This is NOT acceptable and is outrageous!
