New Spam Option for Email

Topic: Email

We just added a new option for filtering spam in our email applications — Webmail, Mobile Mail, and the Email Control Center —that lets you control which messages show up in your Inbox.

When you select the new Restricted option, only messages from senders you added to your Allowed List deliver to your inbox. The rest go to your Bulk Mail folder. It’s a great option if you get lots of email, but want to focus only on messages from certain senders. You can review the rest later, when you have time.

Your Allowed List is a group of senders you trust, and Webmail never marks their email addresses or domain names as spam. When you enable Restricted Mode, the only messages you receive come from this core group of senders.

Sounds like a feature you could use? Good news: When you register a domain with Go Daddy, you get a free Personal Email account. It’s easy to use with our Webmail interface and even easier to upgrade for more features.

Is it just me that finds this new ‘auto purge’ a complete bust? Not to be disrespectful to all you Go Daddy developers’, but WHO TESTED THIS?????
It does not work, not at all. I now have three times the amount of spam in my Inbox, because nothing goes to Bulk Mail, unless I mark it Spam. That is a total waste of time, because it is in my Inbox as soon as the spammer sends me more junk. And, NO, do not tell me that spammers send junk under multiple email addresses. I do an auto purge by domain AND I have tracked the spam. PLEASE, either fix it or give me back the ability to regulate my spam again.
In addition, by the way, I am now getting email from spammers I blocked years ago. Is anyone else having a problem with this? If it’s working for you, please tell me your procedure. I am not sure how these forums work, so I am contacting tech support about this issue
