I have been having the same problem with being sent to the godaddy default page. I have found my IP address at the hosting control center and tried to point it to my domain name but it says there is an error and that the IP address is invalid. I have tried it several times to make sure I am not entering the wrong IP address but it keeps coming up with the same message.

Hi cor3yjon3s, sounds like something might be going on with your IP address. Make sure you point your IP to the hosting IP for your account. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call.

i installed wordpress but every time i go to the site it takes me to the godaddy default page an i cant go to the wordpress sign in with the wp-admin

Just to make sure I understand your questions? You’re hosting your website elsewhere, and you’re setting up a new hosting account with us, correct? Is your domain name already registered with us?

Where your blog is located on the Internet depends on where you install it in your hosting account. If you already have a website that you don’t want altered, then you would install WordPress in a sub-directory of your website. A common name for the sub-directory could be “blog.”

Then, when someone tries to access your WordPress site, they would go to yourdomainname.com/blog.

Hi,
I’m trying to set up a WordPress Web hosting account, I’m led to believe that as I already host my website elsewhere I’d be better using Preview DNS.

This is how far I’m getting:

This is what I’m doing:

My account>
Web hosting>
New account (hosting WordPress economy – 2 years)>
Launch>
Set up your WordPress account>
Manual update DNS>
Finish?? nothing happens!

If I try auto update same thing happens.

While I’m here I might as well ask other questions:

I really have no idea what I’m getting for my dosh, I’m getting a WordPress account as I like their blogs, I assume that a WordPress blog is attached to my website and that apart from that my website will operate normally.
When setting up WordPress account it suggests I place my domain name followed by my blog name is that correct?
