Problems with our sites and the Chrome browser
UPDATE:
We made a change to the Domain Manager to address the more common extension incompatibilities. The following popular extensions no longer break the site:
- SEO Site Tools version 2.57
- Google Voice (by Google) Version 2.2.1.3
You should not have to download any updates for your browser or the extensions. If you disabled the extension, turn them back on.

Having problems with our sites using the Chrome browser? We’ve found that some Chrome extensions can cause problems with some sites (not just at Go Daddy).
Last Pass extension
Solution: Last Pass released a fix on 03/04 (Version v1.66.11). You can get the latest version here: https://lastpass.com/misc_download.php
Others?
Try disabling (or removing) all extensions and verify that the site works. Add one extension at a time until it breaks (it might). Contact the extension vendor to let them know about the probem, and then let us know so we can share the information with others.

Domain Manager is all but useless under Chrome browser. This has nothing to do with Chrome extensions.
For instance, the link to Total DNS Control is not shown and thus cannot be clicked on …
and the Contacts (Registrant, Administrative, Technical, Billing) are not even shown.
FAIL
We haven’t noticed such a problem. Is anyone else experiencing this?
Yes the domain manager is not usable in chrome Total DNS not visible.
any plans on fixing it any time soon?
I can’t use the Domain Manager if I have any of these three extensions installed:
Chrome SEO – Version: 0.7
Docs PDF/PowerPoint Viewer (by Google) – Version: 1.5.5
Google Voice (by Google) – Version: 2.1.4
There’s got to be something in common with them all. Maybe they use a framework or something. I’m not familiar with Chrome Extension creation, but these def break the Domain Manager for me.
Side Note: this is the only site I have trouble with because of extensions.
I’m having the same problems. I have Google Voice, Google Wave, Google Mail Checker, Google Tasks and WOT installed. Any ideas? Works fine in Firefox. Noticed problem even if I flush profile and clear all extensions.
I have 5.0.342.9 beta with no extensions on MacBook, went into Domain Manager, Total DNS Control worked fine. Then, I installed SEO Site Tools version 2.57, went back and reloaded Domain Manager and much of the links are out of reach, including Total DNS Control. The scroll bar for the div disappears. Disabled SEO extension, reloaded Domain Manager, it’s fine again.
From your posts, it seems there are many more Chrome extensions that cause this problem.
We will reconsider our stance on this issue. I’ll speak with the developers and follow up here in a few days.
Thanks for pointing this out. We have found the problem with our interaction with this plug-in. Now we are looking for a way to avoid the issue. We hope to have a fix very soon. We will post an update here when that happens.
Also, if you know of problems with other extensions keep posting them here.
Hey, we have made a change to the Domain Manager that works around one of the more common extension incompatibilities. With this change, the following popular extensions no longer break the site:
SEO Site Tools version 2.57
Google Voice (by Google) Version 2.2.1.3
Give this a try. You should not have to download any updates for your browser or the extensions. If you disabled the extension, turn them back on.
Are things working better now? Do you see other extensions that are still not working well with the Domain Manager? Let us know what you are seeing!
We got a report about another issue with Domain Manager and the Google Voice extension. This one caused a problem with the “auto-renew” feature. We were able resolve that issue earlier this week.
I can’t do a thing in Chrome with the FTP manager. I get this message:
” Did you know?
FTP Program
Our FTP client lets you upload content to the server of your shared Linux or Windows hosting account. This client is best used for moderate amounts of data. If you are uploading large files or have non-ASCII characters in directory or file names, we recommend using a third-party FTP client.
Note: If you are prompted to accept a security certificate, it is safe to do so.
The Local System window contains the directories and files on your local machine. Your shared hosting server directories and files are displayed in the Remote System window. To upload content, select the appropriate files in the Local System window and click >>.
You can also manage the file structure of your local and remote systems be using the Make Directory, Rename, Delete, Refresh, Upload, and Download buttons below the windows.”
I have all extensions disabled and I’m not running anything funky. I had to open IE in order to upload my pages.
Google Chrome shows my site as unsecured https because of the godaddy site seal. FireFox and other browsers show the site as secure.
Browser:
Google Chrome 10.0.612.3 dev
Warning (error):
“Resource interpreted as script but transferred with MIME type text/html.”
The code I’m using is what I copy/pasted from godaddy. It starts: <script type-"text/javascript" …
so I'm not sure where the problem is happening.
