bbWe’re proud to introduce Calendar’s most requested feature — Event Types. Instead of creating multiple calendars to separate events, you can now categorize them by Event Type.
When you create an event in Calendar, you can select its type:
Select an icon and a color to associate with the Event Type.
Now, when you view your Calendar, your events are color-coded by the Event Type:
Calendar also lets you create custom Event Types:

It’s a great way to visually distinguish your events. No other online calendar provider offers such a useful feature.

This is awesome! My calendar already looks like a rainbow.
The new event types feature is great! It’s now a lot easier to glance at my calendar and quickly find the events I’m looking for.
