Calendar Export or Import issue – reminders missing

I am trying to move my entire calendar from one email to another email. When I called support they had me export the calendar from the old email to an ics file and then import that ics file to the new email’s calendar. From what I can tell all the events were imported to the new calendar but NONE of the the reminders attached to those events were copied. Has anyone encountered this issue before? No of anything I need to change to get this to work?

The reminders will not be included in the export. You would need to manually re-add the reminders to the new Calendar. If you no longer need the Calendar attached to the initial email address, you can change the email address that the Calendar is associated with.

For future references, while the reminders are not included in the ICS export file, when the events are imported they should have your default reminder setting applied to them. To adjust your default reminder setting, you can go to Settings -> Calendar Settings -> Set Default Options for Reminders.
Unfortunately, since you’ve already imported the ICS file, if you change your default settings it won’t take affect for the events that you already have imported.

Okay. I guess I can see why GoDaddy did it this way but in my case, 95% of the reminders would have worked just fine as is. I have had this calendar for years and have years worth of event reminders to reenter.
