Is it possible in a group calendar to organize types of events by color? For example, on our desk calendars, we are used to highlighting court appearances in pink and client appts in yellow, etc. Can that be done?
Thanks in advance,

You could create multiple calendars in the group. For example a Client Appt Calendar and a Court Dates Calendar. Then each calendar could be given it’s own color.

Has there been any changes to this color coding system? Our firm calendar is using the group calendar system for viewing multiple types of conferences, hearings, etc. and without the ability to color code, I find this calendar system very limiting. Why wouldn’t the group calendars have the same abilities as the personal calendar? If we created different groups for each type of event that would become very confusing for everyone to have to check all the time. Is there any sort of alternative?

I so agree. I am used to color coding my calendar events: clients, meetings, etc.
Also, is there a way to customize the “icon” field to include other headers. I am working on converting all my outlook “stuff” to GoDaddy for obvious reasons.

When using the Group Calender, you can create multiple calendars within the same Group. You can then assign different colors to the different calendars. This is similar to adding different types of events to the personal calendar. You can create one Group for your firm, and then for example, create a calendar for conferences and then another calendar for hearings. Then you can set custom colors for those calendars. In the calendar interface, you can display all of the calendars at the same time, so users do not need to worry about checking different calendars.
There is not a way to create custom icons or headings for calendar events.
