With our busy schedules and numerous daily meetings it is possible to be overwhelmed and in some instances forget about an upcoming event. But don’t be in despair, Online Group Calendar provides different options for receiving Event reminders. One can choose to receive event reminders via Email & Alert, SMS & Alert, Email, SMS, or Alerts.

Here’s how you can customize your reminder settings:
1). Click the Settings link, then click on Calendar Settings and then on Set Default Options for Reminders.
2). In the Set Default Options for Reminders section, select the desired reminder format from the drop-down menu and enter the corresponding reminder time to receive the event notifications.
3). Click Save.

And in case you want multiple reminders for a particular Event, then click on the Reminders tab of the Event dialog and click on Add Reminder link and you can select the desired reminder format to notify before the specified time frame.

I am getting my reminders via email and alert, but for some reason, I am not getting the SMS reminders. How do I set that up?

You need to know your Phone’s email address to receive the SMS messages. Here’s how to set it up:

1). Click on Add Event
2). Click on Reminders tab and then click on Add Reminder link
3). Select ‘SMS’ as the Reminder Format from the drop down menu
4). In the Address field enter your Phone’s email address
5). Save

Check with your Mobile service provider for your Phone’s email address and you will receive Event Reminders as SMS messages in your Mobile Phone.

For T-Mobile service provider, phone’s e-mail address is the 10-digit wireless phone number at tmomail.net (e.g., 4442223333@tmomail.net).
