Hello,
Its been around 30 hours since i’ve changed my nameservers…. They were previously 174.140.172.154
and now I need them @ 174.140.168.31 & .32

I made the changes yesterday but it still pings the old ip. Can someone tell me what i’m doing wrong or why this is taking so long to change? It didnt take so long when I registered the nameservers first time.

@sagun

DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to fully propagate. If you want to reply with the nameservers I can take a look at their configuration to see if there may be any other issues you may run into.

Thank you for the reply Tim,
I’ve changed the domain’s nameservers NS1 and NS2 to 174.140.168.31 and 174.140.168.32 respectively.
but when i ping vibe-ro.com it tries to ping 174.140.172.154 so i guess it hasn’t fully propagated yet but I sure as hell would like to know if there’s any other possible issue.

Thanks again!

@sagun

Thanks for replying with your nameservers. I was able to check the IP addresses registered to them and it does indeed look like only a propagation issue at this time.

Hello,

Its been 3 days now I think, since i’ve changed the nameservers… It still pings the old nameserver. Why hasn’t it propagated yet? I’m trying to set the domain on Kloxo and it says..
To map an IP to a domain, the domain must ping to the same IP, otherwise, the domain will stop working. The domain you are trying to map this IP to, doesn’t resolve back to the IP, and so it cannot be set as the default domain for the IP.

Please advice.

@sagun

I would advise contacting our Support Team to see if your zone file needs to be refreshed as it should have already propagated. Please reference this thread and remember to include your domain and support PIN for proper handling.
