@graphikados Currently, ingobe.pe appears to be resolving to a Go Daddy website. If you’re planning on hosting an external domain with Go Daddy, please be aware that you’d need to use your hosting nameservers, not the Offsite DNS records.

Hello Stacey:

now i´m confused!

support of godaddy told me in an email to use the offsite dns:

mns01.domaincontrol.com
mns02.domaincontrol.com

you told me to use the hosting dns:

ns49.domaincontrol.com
ns50.domaincontrol.com

what should i dooooo? :’(

and the worst is that the administrator of the domain don´t acept the changes yet! :(

@graphikados

My recommendation would be to use the hosted nameservers:

ns49.domaincontrol.com
ns50.domaincontrol.com

Off-site nameservers are designed for third party domains that want to simply manage DNS with Go Daddy. As the domain is hosted, I believe the hosted nameservers will be a better fit for you.

hi Jason thanks to answer, the domain belongs to http://www.punto.pe (ingobe.pe).

i have the hosting dns:

ns49.domaincontrol.com
ns50.domaincontrol.com

when i made the offsite, it gave me those dns

but in the Standard DNS Dashboard appears 2 items with the same name, ingobe (offsite) with

mns01.domaincontrol.com
mns02.domaincontrol.com

and the ingobe (hosted)

ns73.domaincontrol.com
ns74.domaincontrol.com

so.. i don´t know what i´m doing!

what should i do to make it work?

an externet domain (ingobe.pe) works with my hosting

:(

@graphikados

Keep in mind that the correct nameservers for aliased domains may be different from the nameservers associated with the primary domain on the account. They are determined by our default records when the domain is added to the hosting account. You can verify the correct nameservers by using the article Stacey provided.

It works! with the (domanin)(hosted) DNS

but now my problem is that i only can use one external domain.

what should i do to make diferent DNS to the external domains i configured in my hosting dashboard – domain management?

because i create 2 external domains and both have the same DNS and only one works.

Thanks

@graphikados

I can see one of the domains is working. As for graphika2.pe, here is the whois information:

Domain Information
Query: graphika2.pe
Status: Active
Registrar: NIC .PE
Name Servers:
ns.rcp.net.pe
ns2.rcp.net.pe

Registrant:
graphikados

As you can see, the domain is not currently pointed to our network. Make sure that you update the DNS for it.

I am having a similar issue and cannot get it resolved!

I host a website on GoDaddy and have 3 domains on GoDaddy that point to it.

I have a fourth domain that is now registered with DreamHost.

I found the DNS of the primarily attached domain to the hosting account and it is:
ns45.domaincontrol.com
ns46.domaincontrol.com

I changed the DNS records on the DreamHost external domain.

I also added the domain to the domains hosted in the GoDaddy Hosting Control Panel. It has added and is saying its status is “Setup.”

And, yet, it will not point to the website! It simply says the browser cannot find the website.

Please help!

Thank you.
Jeanne
