I have my domains at GoDaddy but host elsewhere.

I created a new subdomain blog.hamiltonthorne.com and set it to point to http://www.hamiltonthorne.com/blog/. The page appears in the preview window but not when I go to the actual page http://blog.hamiltonthorne.com.

I am using web.com as a host (and can’t switch). Do I need to set the subdomain there as well?

@Cindy R,

Seeing that the DNS is managed by a third party, you will need to create an A record of ‘blog’ that points to the IP address of your host. You will also want to ensure that your hosting account is configured to accept the subdomain. Your hosting provider will be able to assist you with this.
