On the 22nd of April, I backordered a domain that was due to expire on the 25th of April. How do I know if I have acquired this domain? Is there a waiting period?

@remccainjr

When a domain expires, it can take between 45 and 90 days for the domain name to become available. This is the redemption period for domain names that allows the existing owners to recover the domain name. Domain names are not immediately made available for registration when they expire.

Thank you Gary. I thought something like this was the case, but I wasn’t sure of the timeline and couldn’t find anything specific on Godaddy or Google. You’ve been very helpful.
