Domain forwarding not working sometimes
crisp330 said 1 year, 11 months ago:
I have domain forwarding setup so that mydomain.com goes to different-domain.com/dir/page. Sometimes when I go to mydomain.com it will properly forward, and sometimes it will not and just timeout or say cannot connect.
yug said 1 year, 11 months ago:
Yes, that’s like today is not working DNS servers NS17.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS18.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
My domain forwarding are registered on them and nobody generally have no access to the sites. This is a complete disgrace.
yug said 1 year, 11 months ago:
More detail. Today I saw that redirects to some of my sites stopped working. Prior to that they worked, and now all links go to 64.202.189.170. It looks like some trouble on the DNS server NS17.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS18.DOMAINCONTROL.COM. As I understand, my domain forwarding (my nr 14810092) are registered on them and now nobody generally have no access to the sites.

so… what should i do for my domain? the problem is DNS servers NS17.. NS18..
if i have to change DNS server, please tell me how to do that.
yug said 1 year, 11 months ago:
I used Forward and Masking Subdomains manager and pressed OK again in all records. So, after some time they are working. But big trouble, that all DNS in world will add this information after some hours. After that you can use Google DNS 8.8.8.8 for faster check your sites.
yug said 1 year, 11 months ago:
Of course, DNS 8.8.8.8 will used in your brouser for checking, not in godaddy manager
No changes, only press OK for reset and rewriting right adress. And wait results.

@crisp330, @yug and @abigail
I’ve directed your concerns to the attention to our administrators and we were able to identify what would have been the cause of these issues. At this point we have taken action to correct the problem. If you still have any trouble please provide your domain(s) so that we can further investigate. Thanks!

I am having the same problem. If anyone tries to go to my site via the forwarding address, it does not work. If they go directly to the non forwarded link, then it works. This started happening in the past 24 or so hours (at least that is when I noticed it).

I appear to be having the same problem with ‘ambette.com’ no longer redirecting, despite it being successfully set up in the control panel.
FYI, I am using the following servers:
NS29.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS30.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
Can this also be looked into as soon as possible.
Thank you.
geekfurious said 1 year, 11 months ago:
FYI, I updated forwarding and it set my domain controllers to:
NS71.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
NS72.DOMAINCONTROL.COM
I believe it was on 17 and 18.
Still doesn’t work.
Site is http://www.geekfurious.com (and net, org etc). Same for my other account, http://www.chuckgasmic.com.

I’ve passed on the information which you provided to our administrators for review. We are continuing to work toward a resolution of the matter at this time.
@Everyone
To better understand and address the cause of this issue, we would like to ask that any additional posts to this thread include a ballpark estimate of the time when you were able to see the problem occur along with the associated domain. This will be helpful to us in reviewing the activity on our system in order to pinpoint the cause of the problem. Thanks!
