I have an agreed price from the owner of the domain name. But I have two big obstacles.

1. Previously when I have tried to identify my webspace address and send my own domain from another registrar to my Go Daddy webspace has resulted in my losing the domain name because Go Daddy does not provide enough information. Does anyone know how I can get all the info I need?

2. I and the seller are not in the USA so using escrow.com is logistically difficult. How to facilitate the transaction securely for the buyer and seller?

@dean9,

If you’re trying to point your domain to hosting with your GoDaddy.com customer account, typically, you should be able to update the nameservers for the domain to point to your hosting:

Setting Nameservers for Your Domain Names

Regarding the selling of the domain name, depending on the price, you could perhaps have the seller set up a private auction through Go Daddy Auctions, which would allow you to make the purchase through your Go Daddy account.
