how to redirect domain without www. prefix?

Hi, I’ve recently bought a domain name from GoDaddy.com and have successfully hosted it on MobileMe. However, I found out that if I type the domain name in the browser’s address bar without “www” prefix, I only get GoDaddy park page instead. Is there any ways I can have that redirected to the actual page of my website. I have seen on the internet something to do with htaccess file but I have no idea what that is. Is there a way to make these change through the domain control in GoDaddy? Many thanks!

You have to go to website identification page on iis and click advanced and add the domain without the www

I have the same Question, although I didn’t quite understand the answer. forgive my inexperience, but what is the Website Identification page? Is that on godaddy? I host my site through a different company msites, it’s basically just a template. And when I go to my site without the www prefix it just says mSite cannot be found. Do I have to go through them to fix this?

@Nont: It looks to me as if you activated forwarding for a subdomain (www) but not for your whole domain. Its easy; just go to the domain manager and instead of using “forward subdomain” now use “forward domain”.
If you add the same settings as before your whole domain should now also utilize forwarding.

@SheiLuser I have the same problem.. however, I don’t wish to use the forwarding as a bandaid. What is the proper solution?
