How to restore default A record?
stonersclub said 1 year, 1 month ago:
Hi. I recently bought a domain name from GoDaddy, and I changed the A record to point to Tumblr. I really don’t like using my URL with Tumblr, because it’s not really a professional site. But before I changed the A-record, I didn’t think to copy it down. Can you please tell me how to restore it back to the A record given to me?

@stonersclub
That all depends on what the IP was before. If it was just a parked page then it’s 64.202.189.170. Otherwise, if it was InstantPage, then it’s 97.74.42.79.

Why in GODS NAME is there no answer for the actual question just a revenue driving trick. What is the default AP RECORD????????????????????????
Nate D said 1 year ago:
@ronnyl – There is no such thing as a default A record, so there is no direct answer to this question. What are you trying to point the domain name to?
Gary A said 1 year ago:
@ronnyl
As @Nate D explained, there are no default A Records. The A Record is determined by what service you are trying to use. For example, if you are trying to point your domain to a Web Hosting account, you would need to update the DNS for your domain to use that particular A Record.

How do I point the A record to Wordpress?
staceyh said 9 months ago:
@nanceli If you’re hosting your WordPress site with us, then you can use these steps to find your hosting IP address and to point your @ A Record to that IP address:

Blogger uses custom DNS settings. If you are trying to direct your domain name to your Blogger blog, this article provides details on how to link your domain name to it:
