Hi,

I have a question, what do I need to do with the Nameserver settings if I use a a-record to point my domain to my blog? Will the name server be ignored or do I have to enter something there?

Thank you for the help.

@abenz,

When pointing the Domain via the A Record, you should not need to update the Nameservers at all. The following may help in this process for you:

Thank you for your answer. Right now the setting for Nameservers is on “I have a hosting account with this domain” and the DNS is NS23.DOMAINCONTROL.COM

In the DNS manager I have set the a-record to Host:@ and Point to 66.6.44.4 (its a tumbler blog.

Do I have to change anything with the Nameserver settings? For some reason those settings don’t work if I try to access my site.

Thank you for the help.

@abenz

It sounds like you have your DNS settings setup properly. You may want to login to your Tumblr account to make sure the domain is assigned to the account.
