Our web servers are hosted in our office.
Our domain control was previously with One.com
One.com does not provide a facility to setup SPF records for email authentication, and so we decided to tranfer our domain control to GoDaddy.com.
We transferred domain control to GoDaddy.com
Our settings in GoDaddy.com still point to the One.com nameservers
I want to use the GoDaddy DNS management software to configure our DNS settings, but do not want to host our website with GoDaddy, hence I cannot us the ‘Total DNS’ package.
I try to add our domain as ‘Off-site DNS’ but get the error message ‘Domain name already exists in private label.’
Help! Please!

Dear Ian Sweeney,

If your domain is already registered with our services, it cannot utilize the Off-Site DNS services we offer as this is only for domains not registered through us to control Zone Record settings through our Total DNS Control Center.

As your domain is already registered with Go Daddy, it must be directed to either our parked or hosting nameservers to utilize the Total DNS Control Center. Through this, you can then modify your zone records to direct the hosting services you require as well as setup an SPF record for your domain.

You will want to refer to the instructions provided in the following URL to set nameservers for your domain:

http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/664

Once your domain is either parked or hosted with us, you can then use the instructions below for managing your DNS Zone Records:

http://support.godaddy.com/help/article/666

I hope this is able to assist you further.

Hi,

I have the same issue for “mydomainname1.com.tr” and “mydomainname2.com.tr” Both names are registered from our national registrant nic.tr and i didn’t create any off-site record before in godaddy with another account etc. I checked that “mydomainname1.com” (without tr and is not any business relation with mydomainname1.com.tr) is registered from godaddy. I thought that this can be the problem but when i did the same checking for “mydomainname2.com”, i saw that its registrant is not godaddy. Any idea ?

Ok, i solved the problem. I had added offline record for these domains in domainrightnow.com and i realize that both domainrightnow and godaddy uses the same dns servers.
