Why activate Domain Trustee .FR – Renewal

I received the notification mail:

Do and why I need to activate Domain Trustee?

There are residency requirements for .FR domains:

For individuals, a birthdate and country of birth are required. If your country of birth is France, you must also provide your birth city name and postal code.
For associations located in France, you must provide one of the following:
The Waldec ID
The organization date, publication date, announcement number, and announcement page number of the official gazette.
For companies, either a valid Trademark or SIREN/SIRET number is required.
If you do not meet the residency requirements, we automatically charge you a trustee vendor fee of $29.99 per year. The trustee helps you meet the residency requirement and is a third-party vendor. If someone contacts the trustee with an issue regarding your domain name, the trustee contacts us, and then we contact you.

I am an individual and was not burn in France. Does that mean that I can provide my birthdate and my country (Belarus) and I do meet the residency requirements?

If not, what should I do with “Domain Trustee .FR – Renewal”? I paid for it, but I was confused with the green button ‘Avtivate’ that I saw in email from godaddy.

My apologies for any confusion. Individuals, associations, and companies can register .fr domain names if they are located in France or use a trustee service. If you are not currently located in France, you would not meet the residency requirement. However, that is why you also have the Domain Trustee .FR service.

Both would need to be renewed if you wanted to keep the .FR domain in question.

But, I mostly confused with the green button with title ‘Activate’ from ‘GoDaddy.com Order Confirmation’ email.

I bought “.fr domain”, I bought “Domain Trustee .FR” and I got confirmation email that has something like that:

“
.FR Domain Name Renewal – 1 Year (recurring) $14.21
‘Manage Domain’ – this is the button with grey background. Looks disabled.

Domain Trustee .FR – Renewal $21.32
‘Activate’ – this is the button with GREEN background. Looks active. This button has the link to https://dcc.godaddy.com/default.aspx?activeview=3Ddomains&isc=3Dgdbb1901&ci=3D50450

And that ‘Activate’ button confuses me. I understand that as I need to activate something before using. And that is not clear for me.

PS. Just look at any ‘confirmation email’ with ‘Domain Trustee’ and you will understand what I am talking about.
