Why is GoDaddy NOT releasing my domain?

I transferred my domain and DNS name servers to Bluehost 2 days ago. I got the Domain Transfer Authorization (EPP) code and unlocked the domain.

I see that GoDaddy no longer shows registration of my domain, yet has not released my domain so that I can complete the transfer to Bluehost.

What gives? Why the delay?

I’m having the same issue with carolynrupar.com. The domain is expiring and i fired off a transfer request, and now my registrar (dnsimple) has stated that godaddy is not accepting whois requests right now.

I am not seeing anything that would be causing you to be unable to transfer your domain to another registrar. We may need to review the details of your account in order to assist you with your transfer. Please contact our Transfer Concierge at 480-505-8866 or transfers@godaddy.com with your domain name and support PIN.

Hey Timb, thanks for checking. I’ve touched base w/ dnsimple and they’ve fired off the request again from their end, which has completed successfully now.

The domain you provided is not currently registered with our company. I’m not sure that I understand your request. Can you please reply with additional information on what you are trying to change?
