The first step is to make sure that you are using Image Paste on the Workspace email:

Using Image Paste in Email Messages

Also, if you have installed any plugins, you may want to temporarily disable them to ensure that they are not causing any conflict. If the paste feature works, I would enable them one by one to see which one is causing the issue.
