Email on Android Phone

I have a Motorola Droid Razr Android phone. After setting up everything for receiving my work email on my phone, I can successfully SEND email, I just cannot RECEIVE email. BTW my new phone is set up exactly like my old Motorola Droid was. Any ideas?

@idon84u,
I would recommend reviewing the settings within your Droid device once more, and confirming the settings as outlined within the following article:
If there is still an issue with receiving mail, is there any error message being generated when you are attempting to pull the messages? You might also want to check your account through our mobile mail client:

Thanks for your response.
I have used the first link and I believe I’ve got everything set up correctly. I am using Port 143 and the IMAP mail server. When I run the “verify server,” I get “error in initialization – 001″ at the very end of the verification. Is there something in all that information during verification that I need to be paying attention to? I also see “authentication failed,” and “login failed.” I would think that I would not be able to send if that information was not correct.
Thanks, again …

@idon84u,
Keep in mind that IMAP is only an available function of our Unlimited email plans. If the address you are setting up the Droid device for is not through an Unlimited Plan, you will need to configure it for POP3 settings.
Have you tested connections via POP3 to see if it is receiving this way?

Wow, that was it. Thanks, very much.
But I’m still a bit puzzled by something and have another question.
I would think that I have an “unlimited” plan, how can I tell?
And I’m curious as to why the IMAP settings worked on my old Motorola Droid phone, and not on the new Motorola Droid Razr. Any ideas?
And, once again, thank you, thank you, thank you very much!

@idon84u,
If you have an ‘Unlimited email’ plan, it should be listed as such within your Account Manager. Also, the Email Control Center; where you setup the email address, should also mention the plan your address is under.
If it is Unlimited, I would recommend reaching out to our Live Support via phone or email so we can further investigate why there were issues setting up IMAP settings on the Droid device.

I have this exact same problem, and I have unlimited, so what do I do, I don’t want to use Pop3 because I am accessing through my phone, laptop and tablet and Pop3 isn’t reliable with multi devices.

@rhains,
Have you reached out to our Live Support as I had previously recommended in this specific instance?
