Emails cannot be sent

Hello,

we’re experiencing issues with sending emails, with an error message that the connection to the SMTP server is timing out.

Is there an issue with SMTP servers or is there a setting that has to be changed?

If you are having trouble sending emails, I recommend that you try changing the port you are using for Outgoing mail. There are several different ports that you can try. The common ports to try for our SMTP servers are 80 and 3535. You can also log into the Infocenter to check the ports you can use.

You might also want to try temporarily disabling your Firewall, Anti-virus, or other security application you are using to see if that alleviates the issue.
