Emails not sending in Outlook 2007

I can receive emails from my Go Daddy account in outlook 2007 but they do not send. They just sit in the outbox. When I click the “send/receive” button I receive a message to contact my administrator or ISP. (Emails do not bounce back).

I have another non-Go Daddy email account set up in Outlook that is working just fine.

I had a similar problem in the past that was solved when I removed the email scanning option from my anti-virus Trend Security. I have not enabled this feature or made any other changes.

Some ISP’s block the ports used by email clients to send mail, you may need to change the ports used by Outlook. Depending on whether you use SSL or not that will be either 25 or 465, instead try 80 or 3535. Additionally, you’ll want to make sure that it’s setup with smtpout.secureserver.net as the outgoing server. Also, be sure to use authentication, where your login name is your email address, and the password is your email password.

If none of these articles or suggestions fixes your problem, let me ask you, has it ever worked? What are the settings you do use? Have you tried calling in to Godaddy technical support?

I just changed the outgoing to 3535 and that seemed to fix the problem.

Yes, this email account has worked with Outlook for over a year now. I do occasionally have problems with emails not sending but a different solution is required each time for fixing it.

Thanks for your help!
