BPA1 said 2 years, 2 months ago:
my email has stopped sending through microsoft outlook for mac and is returning the error message 17099 saying that the messages have unauthorised virus or spam content. we have changed no configurations, the address is still receiving messages; other email addresses for the same domain are still working in outlook for mac on the same computer and on other computers. any suggestions?

@BPA1
It may be the specific email that you are attempting to send. You may want to view more detailed information in the following article:

Thanks, I checked the link but doesn´t shed any light. The problem is with all emails sent from that account and not one in particular. No hyperlinks, no attachments and even straight forward test emails with no text content won´t go through. I´m tearing my hair out so any other thoughts welcome.

I’m experiencing the SAME problem. I strongly suspect GoDaddy changed a setting of some sort. It’s driving me absolutely crazy. It started yesterday and continues today. the worst part is these message refused errors decrement my SMTP relays even the messages have not actually been sent.
BPA1 said 2 years, 2 months ago:
JimmyZ, Same here re the relays. Have you found a solution yet? GoDaddy support say it´s my settings but we hadn´t changed anything when it happened – it just stopped working between Friday night/Saturday morning. I have another account with the same domain still working fine in the same outlook application on this computer, and another on another computer. I set up ANOTHER completely new email account this morning to test and that IS giving the same problem in Outlook. I´m baffled why some are suddenly affected and others not. Anyone got any suggestions out there?

i have found a temporary solution that only works sometimes. shorten the outgoing message.
I REALLY hope someone from Godaddy is monitoring these boards and fixes this ASAP.

We have been having the same problem. I seem to have tracked it down to someone’s signature. If I delete the specific person’s signature or email them with a blank email the message goes through.
Which doesn’t make sense because I have been emailing this person for MONTHS from this account.
There really needs to be better MAC support.

Sorry to hear that you are having these issues. In order to determine why the messages are getting filtered, we would need a copy of the entire message you are trying to send. If you have this information, please email it support@godaddy.com, and place ATTN Community Moderators” in the subject line.
Once we have the information, we can determine why the message was filtered.

Still no fix .. have just sent another example to ATTN Community Moderators – hope this goes somewhere instead of into black space …

Unable to recieve my emails to my Outlook 2007 account or my GoDaddy account since I decided to cancel participating in Microsoft 365. I signed up in May 2011 and transferred my domain to Microsoft 365 and recently, August 2011, decided to go back out of the program and return to using my Outlook 2007. Since then, I have not be able to receive any of my emails relevant to my domain cjmpa.co not even in Outlook 2007, GoDaddy,Workspace. This has been going on for two weeks. HELP!

Receiving the same “Message Refused” error when replying to email messages. This problem started without any settings being changed and now it occurs erratically (i.e., when responding to or forwarding some email messages but not others).
I have Outlook for Mac on my computer and am using Mac OS X Lion.

Still no fix … even after assurances from JasonP. Haven’t heard a word. This needs to get fixed. I have verified that is not an Outlook problem and not a Comcast problem. It’s a GoDaddy problem. C’mon guys.
