If you are using an AT&T Skyrocket with godaddy email (my example-imap) be sure to select a premium account from the default email client (non-exchange). The client might accept your server settings, but will not successfully retrieve emails. AT&T was not aware of the need for this configuration. I have not tested this with other clients such as K9 Mail
