Godaddy Email

I am configuring my mx records setting to set up email for Godaddy. Originally, I set up the mx records to point over to Gmail using the mx recorder setup tool that Godaddy and Gmail have. However, I have come to find out that my company would rather have their email hosted on Godaddy.
Looking at the Email Control Center and the Server Addresses, I have seen that the mx records for my domain mylightlink.com still has the mx records that point to Gmail (this domain was originally on Gmail for email). I have looked at the correct mx settings and have set them up in the zone files but I am still getting mx errors in setting up my email.
I wonder if my DNS still reads the google mx records even though I have deleted them. Should I perhaps completely delete the mx records over at Gmail to effect a change? Is there just something Im not noticing? Thanks for your help this is most puzzling.

@kris_pell – Hey, is the website hosted with Go Daddy? Check to see if the nameservers are pointing here. If they are pointing somewhere else that is where you would change the DNS, the Zone File here would be null.

@kris_pell
You will also have the ability to restore the default MX records by clicking the link in the upper right hand corner of the MX record box.
