I can’t set MX records
ivmartin said 1 year, 8 months ago:
I’m trying to set the MX records for my domain tiendaymedia.com, which I recently transfered to GoDaddy.
When I try to set them using the DNS Manager I receive the following error:
“@ mx ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM: Error adding record to Orion: REQUEST_FAIL::ORION_EXCEPTION::ProcessAddAttributeRequest::Cannot modify account at this time”
I also tried this tool:
https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/google/gmail_domain.asp
But doesn’t work either. This one says:
“There was an error accessing your MX Record information. Please try again later.”
More than 12 hours have passed. I REALLY NEED to set them to use Gmail for my domain because I’m losing lots of mails!!
I contacted the support but the support person copy/pasted something completely useless from the FAQ.
Can someone help me please?

I have the exact same problem. I have been on the phone several times and they keeps saying just wait longer… I have been waiting for days now. Nothing works. Other domains I have with GD are working fine and updating the records is not an issue. But one specific domain won’t allow me to update it.

@ivmartin
I have found your incident in your account and sent it to our advanced support team to have the issue fixed. As soon as they resolve the issue you will receive an email notifying you.
@matthewva
Can I get the domain in question and the MX records you are trying to set for the domain? Thanks.

I got so frustrated that I had to set it back to my old hosting company. If I can’t this resolved today I am just going have to accept that I lost the battle.

Thank you Steve.
matthewva, good luck with your problem. I hope both will be fixed soon.

@matthewva
To further investigate the issue with this domain’s DNS could you send in a support ticket regarding the issue. Please include your 4 digit pin code, and reply back to this thread once you have sent it in so I can further review the issue.

I’ve got similar problem that one of my domain is missing in DNS Dashboard, causing my email which the email server pointed to GoDaddy is unable to receive email.

@jamessss
Can you reply with the domain name in question? I may be able to review your current configuration to determine the issue, however if the domain is set to our nameservers and is not available from within the DNS Manager you will need to contact our Support Team for additional assistance.

I gave up and moved my hosting over to another firm. For whatever reason GD did not want to face reality and unlock my dns zone record it is still not update-able. ALL my other zone records for 6 other domain names (which are now hosted elsewhere) are update-able but not the one I called several times about. Technically not capable were GD. I’ll keep the domain names at GD but wouldn’t recommend the hosting to anyone.

@matthewva
I apologize for the frustration with being unable to update your DNS settings for your domain and we are disappointed to see you choose another hosting provider. While I can not review your specific details, we do not lock zone files without direction from a court or arbitration forum. Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with and thank you for posting your experience on the Community.

Oh no courts or arbitration involved just plain old fashion laziness on the part of GD. Not sure what you call it when you can update all of your zone records for 6 other domains but not one domain. I call that locked. You call that something else. Bottom line was could not update the record. Called 6 about 3-4 times and never got someone who could sort it. Now it is fine but at another hosting company. All back to normal completely update-able.

Same here, my domain fancyone.co.uk doesn’t show up in the new DNS manager. All other domains are there, but this one isn’t. I’m trying to set up Gmail in Google apps and this address doesn’t work either: https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/google/gmail_domain.asp?se=%2B

@ophelia
Your domain name is currently set up to point to these nameservers:
ns1.digital-pigment.com
ns2.digital-pigment.com
This provider will be where you will need to update your records. The DNS manager will only be available if your domain is pointed to our nameservers. The link you provided is currently working for me, are you still unable to view it?

Hi there,
I am trying to change my mx records through the google apps service that provides the automatic login. Anytime I try, it gives me the same message:
“There was an error accessing your MX Record information. Please try again later.”
It has been a day now since I have been trying, and I would really like to get this resolved.
The domain name is http://www.daggerhart.net
I can provide any other info I need in a less public forum.
Thank you
