imap server rejecting password

The IMAP server just keeps rejecting my password since morning, both on my iPhone and my iMac.

Logging in from the Web interface works.
So, what is up?

The Web-Based Email password and the password to access the IMAP server should always be the same. If you’ve already tried re-entering the password into the email clients, you’ll want to get in touch with our 24 hour support team. The email address may need to be re-synced with the server on our end.

I am having exactly the same problem. This is happening on several e-mail accounts on several different Macs. Telephone support told me to go into my GoDaddy account and change my password. I did that and it fixed the problem for a few hours, but now the problem is back. This is a bug!

I removed and added my mail accounts from the mail client at least 5 times. It didn’t change anything. Webmail works. That’s the only thing that does. Not very practical if you ask me.
