Max’ed out relays?

We are getting an error message that one of our email addresses has maxed out the allowable relays at 251… this has never happened before, and this person does not even send out 25 a day…
is there a problem right now with the system?? and how do we fix this?

When sending email, you will want to keep in mind that each recipient of the email counts as an email sent. For example, if you send 5 emails to 5 individuals, this would count as 25 relays used. The SMTP relays reset every 24 hours. If you are not able to send emails again tomorrow morning, you might want to contact support so that they can review you account with you in greater detail.

If someone requests a read receipt – does this count as a relay?….and if you reply all to a group message, each email to each person in the group is a relay??
are relays only sent emails…or sent & received emails??

Anything that will send an email from the email client will count towards a relay. If you reply all to a group message, each recipient will count towards a relay. The relays are only for sent mails and does not affect received emails.
