Hello

I would like to know the step how to set up email with domain which is not registered with you. I have a domain http://www.thoyyib.com which last time I registered with yahoo, and now I intend to set up the email with my existing email plan with you. After setting it I can see the status is MX Pending Verification, so how is it to set up email account with other domain which is not registered with you. Please advise

Thanks

@azadaswan

In order to start using the email address through us, you will need to point the domain’s MX records to our email servers. If you are hosting the domain’s DNS with a 3rd party hosting provider, you will want to get in touch with them for help with updating the domain’s MX records.

Checking Your MX Record Settings in the Email Control Center

If you would like to manage the domain’s DNS records through us, you’ll want to check out this article:

Now I already check with my domain name host and they told me they can change the DNS only and not MX record because I dont have website hosting plan, so if I change the DNS can my email work? my current DNS is yns1.yahoo.com & yns2.yahoo.com

How should I proceed with my problem?

Thanks

@azadaswan

If you do not have a hosting account through us, you will want to review the article I previously posted regarding Off-Site DNS. If you have a hosting account with us, you can use this article to locate the domain’s nameservers:
