Original messages are lost

Even though I have my web based email account forward set up with auto reply (which I do receive), the original message never makes to my personal email account. I have checked my web based inbox and the messages are not there. Where do the original messages generated outside of godaddy end up if I never get them forwarded? All I get is the auto reply. Any ideas would be appreciated.

If you are receiving the Auto-Reply that you have set up, this generally indicates that the forwarding address is receiving the sent email. So, somewhere between the forwarding address and your personal address, there is an error.
I would recommend adding a different email address to this forwarding plan (other than your personal address) and testing. Please keep in mind that our forwarding plans do not like to forward emails send from the forwarding address.
EX. You have set up email@example.com. This address forwards to firstname.lastname@example.org. If you have sent an address from email@example.com to firstname.lastname@example.org, you may not receive the forwarded test to email@example.com.
In the above scenario above, I would recommend testing from a different address, such as, firstname.lastname@example.org.
