I’m receiving the same popup error message as everyone else was in this thread for the asian servers whenever I try and open the mail folder for my Godaddy hosted emails.

The system is consistently getting sync errors in Outlook (0x8004DF00) saying this IMAP command cannot be sent to the server and that the TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server – to contact the ISP

• Microsoft Outlook 2010 version 14.0.6112.5000 (32-bit)
• Cannot expand any godaddy domain folders. “The TCP/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server.”

@avatarlucas

That specific error was resolved by our email administrators Monday evening. If you are still getting this, can you please send your Outlook logs to our Support Team so they can review them.

Here is information on enabling these logs in Outlook:

Thank you.

This started about 2 weeks ago. “the TCP/IP Connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server”

Settings are:
IMAP: imap.asia.secureserver.net
Port: 993
Encryption: SSL
Windows 7 x64 and outlook 2010
Other email clients do work.

If this issue is not fixed soon i guess it is time to change provider. As a company we must haved logged 10 support calls with no success.

Is this error back in action? I had the problem a few weeks ago, and then it was resolved when the GoDaddy team reversed the upgrade that caused it. Today, I am getting the error again. I can log into secureserver webmail, but when I try to sync my IMAP account via Outlook, I get:

reported error (0x800CCC0E): ‘Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for <email>. Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).’

Where <email> is my email address without the brackets.

I was able to connect fine this morning, but now I’ve received this error several times in a row, including shutting down and re-opening Outlook.

My non-GoDaddy email is syncing with no apparent problem.

Thanks!

@kjowlshead

I’m not currently showing any issues with our IMAP service at this time. Are you connecting with SSL?

@Baillee

No SSL. This was working fine for a few weeks, and suddenly on Wednesday I couldn’t connect again. I didn’t (knowingly) change any of my settings. My inbound port is 143, outbound is 3535. I am still unable to connect – I get the same error noted above.

Clarification: outbound mail appears to be fine, it is only inbound mail that is problematic.

Thanks,
~KJ

@Baillee – I just switched to the SSL port and turned SSL on, and I’m able to connect now. I guess I’ll be using SSL from now on! I had turned it off due to a conflict with my AV software, but AV doesn’t do me much good if I can’t connect at all. Thanks.

@rafiq_buzdar

Did you try connecting with SSL as @kjowlshead suggested?
