Problems with AOL users receiving emails

I am a new godaddy customer and I am having a problem with aol users receiving the godaddy emails. I have an aol account myself (x 20 years) so I know for sure that the emails are taking 17+ hours to be delivered or are not arriving at all. I am not receiving any error messages. I’ve been on the phone with tech support and they say it’s an aol issue, that aol is limiting the number of emails that can be delivered from godaddy within a specific time frame. I have opened an aol support ticket and hope to hear back from them, but I cannot have 10% of my group (I am well within the 100 addresses at a time limit) not receiving the information emails I am sending out, or receiving it a day later than everyone else. Has anyone here experienced this? Any advice or feedback? Thanks in advance.

I have also been trying to find a solution to the problem of not being able to send to AOL mailboxes. We have received several bouncebacks stating the sending IP is blocked due to poor IP reputation.

I tried contacting AOL mail support about this problem and opened a ticket with them. They replied with the following
“Hello,
We have received several reports from Godaddy (aka Secureserver.net) customers that they are unable send emails to AOL sporadically. The issue is that the Secure server IP’s have high complaints. I have contacted them multiple times to -
1. Get a list of their shared servers so I can tag them in our system as shared.
2. To know the measures they are going to take to minimize the complaints and spam sent from their servers.
I have not received a response from them. I have checked our logs and protected the IP’s I could find. If you have a technical contact or can get some one from Secureserver to contact me it would be helpful.”
Would anyone at your company be able to provide them with the information they are requesting to help out with this problem?

Thank you for posting, whughes7. That isn’t **quite** the same explanation I received from godaddy support, but it explains a lot. I hope that Joe, who called me today to welcome me as a new customer, or anyone else in godaddy admin with the power to affect a change, will read this and do whatever it takes to improve the interface between godaddy and aol.

@lhr @whughes7
If you are receiving bouncebacks when sending emails to AOLs and you are receiving the errors that @whughes7 provided, please contact our support teams with copies of the bounceback messages you are receiving. Our support teams will require copies of the bouncebacks so that they can provide that information to our Email Server Administrators so that they can work with AOL regarding this matter.

@Gary A
I am not receiving any bounceback messages; in my case emails are taking up to 18 hours to be delivered (unacceptable) or they are not being delivered at all. I received this communication from AOL today:
<<<Hello,
This IP belongs to your hosting company and has a poor reputation at our end. Since this is a shared IP, we request you to contact your hosting company and ask them to open a ticket with us. We would need to work with them in reducing the spam complaints at our end.
Thank You,
AOL Postmaster>>>
I sincerely hope that someone at godaddy can address this with aol immediately.

If you are only encountering delays, our support teams will need some different information. You will need to get in touch with the recipient that received the delayed email, and request that they forward you a copy of the delayed email, preferably as a .EML or .TXT file. It is very important that they include the headers of the original email. You will then need to contact our support teams with a copy of the email that was delayed so that this matter can be further reviewed with our Email Server Administrators. Our support teams can be reached through the following URL:
