Setting SMTP port

I keep getting circled around to using GoDaddys relay which is NOT an option. I have a client with a Deluxe Windows hosting package who uses an SMTP server on a different port, and I am getting the following error: Insufficient permissions for setting the configuration property ‘port’.

Any ideas on how I can change the port to work with THEIR server (not GoDaddy relay)

@cubixhike,

If the hosting package you’re referring to is a GoDaddy.com hosting account, the client would not be able to connect to external SMTP servers through the hosting. The relay-hosting.secureserver.net server would need to be used as the outgoing server with your hosting and would use port 25.

If you are referring to another issue, please respond with more info, and we’d be happy to take a look.
