My custom made HTML Newsletter gets some automatically generated footer by your service “Express Email Marketing”. This is the text:

This email was sent by Glam Up, Proleterska 10, Beograd, Srbija 11272, using Express Email Marketing. You were added to this list as (subscriber email here) on 10/12/2011.

Express Email Marketing supports permission-based email marketing. You can change your preferences or unsubscribe from this mailing list at any time.

I`d really like to remove all that text or to edit it a lot. Please tell me how can I do thdat!

Thnx

@kilmulis

There is no way to remove the footer from the bottom of the emails that are sent through Express Email Marketing. You can change the contact information that is shown by updating your Express Email Marketing preferences.

Like Adam said, unfortunately, there is no way to remove the footer. The information displayed there is required by the CAN-SPAM act and must be delivered with every campaign.

Thank you for fast answers.
I understand that its important to have subscribe and unsubscribe there written, but FIRST can I edit its font, size, position?! ..Its ruining my NL design being like this. And if Im paying for those mails why it needs to be a comercial for GoDaddy`s service!?

@kilmulis

You will be unable to edit the footer beyond making changes to the contact information that is displayed using the article I previously posted.

Can I choose the language of the footer and other dynamic texts?

OK, I have the same problem and what I’m reading here is quite sad… I need to edit the footer because:
1. The styling looks unprofessional and disagrees with the rest of our design.
2. We’re in Quebec, most of the clients we’re servicing are French speakers.
3. We do not use Facebook or Tweeter for the business, yet icons and links for those are stuck in the footer – that needs to go.
4. I’m pretty familiar with the “CAN-SPAM Act Guidelines” and there’s nothing in them about having to promote Express Email Marketing.

Please, for heavens sake, make the footer editable at least to a degree or tell me who we have to send the custom version so it can be approved and used. If that can’t be done we’ll just have to move our business elsewhere.

@horb

There is currently no way to change the language of the footer within the campaigns you create.

@gdxgbob

We thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. I’ll forward your comments along to our development team for consideration in future updates.

Have the same problem as we are looking for an express mailing engine and we have to send campaigns in Spanish, French and Dutch
I understand that the information displayed there is required by the CAN-SPAM act, that it must be delivered with every campaign and that for legal reason you locked it.

Nevertheless, you could ask to your development team to “at least” have a language choice when creating an email campaign in order to have the footer AND Privacy Policy displayed in the recipients language (as well as the unsubscribe and preference processes)

Thanks for keeping me informed about the intentions of the development team in order to help us making our choice of Emailing platform

@nicdalle

Thank you for the suggestion. I will pass along your comments regarding having a language choice for the footer of the email campaigns sent from Express Email Marketing. If any information comes to light about an update to the footer, I will post an update here.

We need an editable Footer

because:
1. The styling looks unprofessional
2. We’re in Italy, most of the clients we’re servicing are Italian speakers.
3. We do not use Facebook or Tweeter for the business, yet icons and links for those are stuck in the footer – we need to take them out
4. We do NOT want to promote Express Email Marketing because we are paying.

If this is not being solved we will go to another provider.

Hello,

Although the footer cannot be removed you can remove the Facebook/Twitter icons. Steps:
1. Go to campaign editor for your campaign
2. Click on the facebook/twitter icon button in the editor toolbar (the place where you change the font size and color). It’s in the lower right corner. 3. Change the radio button to No and click OK.

That will remove the social network icons.

Hello,

I also understand the that the information displayed there is required by the CAN-SPAM act, but there needs to be away to edit or add what is there. I would rather add something like this to the bottom of my campaigns:

“You are reviving this email because you have expressed interest in receiving information from XYZ Company PO Box 123 Cite, State 12345. You were added to this list as (subscriber email here) on 7/16/2011.”

If your programmers could allow us some flexibility on this it would really let us tailor our campaigns to our business needs and different levels of professionalism needed.

There has to be away to follow all the needed spam laws and allow us to add our own twist on things! It seems very simple and would help GD compete with all the other email-marketing companies out there that have more flexibility.

Thanks!

@rakanx2 I completely agree. We plan to update the email footer to allow more flexibility and different languages. It’s a delicate balance and I appreciate your awareness of that.
