I have sent a ticket, but due to your most skilled technicians cannot resolve my issue quickly and completely so I post it here.

Sep 13, 2010: I bid 2 domains @ GoDaddy Auction – Closeout (No membership required, so don’t tell me that I must have an active Aftermarket membership to purchase it).

Sep 13, 2010: Won and paid it directly –

Sep 17, 2010: The transaction for one of the domain completed – the first domain is now on my account.

Oct 11, 2010: I haven’t received the second domain, update or information about it.

So my question is:

1. Why I didn’t get the second domain and how can someone else now owned that domain?

2. Can I still get that domain or not? If not I want my money back!

Regards,
Sandi H.

If the domain name you purchased was an Expired Name Auction, the domain will automatically transfer to your account within 2 weeks as long as the current registrant does not renew the domain. The scheduled date of transfer will be listed in the Won area of your GoDaddy Auctions membership account in the Status field.

However, if the domain was listed by another GoDaddy Auctions member, the domain does not transfer automatically. You will need to use the ‘Email Seller’ link in your GoDaddy Auctions account to contact the seller and work out the transfer of the domain name. The link to email the seller will not be available until the 6th day after payment as we have a 5 day verification period of the funds. If the seller does not provide the domain name, you will need to file a dispute per section 4. of the Domain Name Aftermarket Membership Agreement:

To file a dispute, You must submit an email to AuctionDisputes@godaddy.com. The email must include:

Your account number
name and contact information
the order number associated with the transaction
the domain name over which the dispute arises and
a detailed account of the dispute.
Such email must be received within fifteen (15) days from the sale date.

As I mentioned above… it was a closeout auction, so it’s an expired name auction.

As I mentioned above… I won and paid for it on Sep 13, 2010. It’s almost a month since I won the auction, only one domain that automatically transfered to my account. I haven’t received the second domain, no update or information about it and no refund.

I have sent a ticket to GoDaddy Auction Team, but I think Mr. Vaclav cannot solve my problem and ignoring it.

At least I deserve an explanation and a refund, because now the domain name owned by someone else.

sibaong,

As Morgan said, since the domain in question was expiring it was still able to be renewed by the original registrant.

Ok let say that the original registrant renewed it, why there’s no information about it? How long should I wait again? What would happen if I didn’t complaint? What about my money?

As I mentioned above… at least I deserve an explanation and a refund, because now the domain name owned by someone else.

Btw, I have checked domain whois history and I know who is the original registrant.

@sibaong,

Unfortunately, this is not the proper forum to inquiry of the status of a domain auction. We have no direct access to your auction account or the ability to research into the status of the order in question.

As this is an account sensitive matter, this would be better addressed by contacting our Auction Support team as auctions@godaddy.com. They will be able to access the account and take any additional steps necessary to complete the auction of this domain if it is due to be transferred to your ownership.

Thanks Chris, money refunded.

Well I’ve been a GoDaddy member before TDNAM created. I was enjoyed TDNAM at first and then I’m a little bit uncomfortable after I received an email(s) inform me that the highest bidder didn’t pay so I win the auction because I’m the second highest bidder.

I feel more and more uncomfortable especially when I always meet “The Mysterious Bidder 2″, since It’s hard to win a GoDaddy Public Auctions at $10 price so I created this account to bid only on Closeout Auctions.

Once again thank you and I hope GoDaddy Auction can be better and better.

Regards,
Sandi H.

Correction: I mean GoDaddy Expiring Auctions

The response from Aftermarket Support Manager:

There was a technical error that caused us to miss this refund. The original owner did renew the domain name. In normal circumstances this triggers an automatic refund and an email to let you know you were refunded. It also should send an email letting you know what happened in the auction. The error caused it to appear to the system that the auction was still active and therefore none of the emails or refund were processed. I spoke with our developers and they assured me that they have since resolved this issue. It is very rare that we have technical problems on the auction.

@ Siabong
The “lost refund” is not an isolated case. GoDaddy has recently “lost” several of our payments and vouchers. We have adressed the problems several times with the support dept. and our account manager, but the problems remain.
Your excellent follow-up forced GoDaddy to solve the problem.
You have to realize that in the case only 3% of the people do not start the quest to finally recuperate the lost payments, this means a fortune of “easy earnings” for Godaddy.

We have currently given this dossier in the hands of our lawyers who will demand GoDaddy to come up with serious explanation and solutions, or we will bring this case of negligence or fraudulent practices to court.
