I don’t understand how difficult it can be to just give a date. I have been with Godaddy for around 10 years and now am looking for other hosting providers, which is extremely frustrating – going through reviews and features. DiscountASP seems to be the best and they upgrade to the latest version quite fast.

I don’t think this is a technical issue. Makes no sense to take this long. Godaddy had problem since sp1 for .Net 3.5.

What exactly is the problem, one can only guess.

Its not there for everyone – are you on a shared server? If so, that’s promising that it might be rolled out to other servers soon.

Really sorry for the lack of updates on this matter. However, I am pleased to say that we have implemented ASP.NET 4.0 on our Windows Grid accounts. More information can be found here:

Keep in mind, you may need to migrate to a Grid account in order to obtain this feature. Please review the article above for instructions.

My thanks to the GoDaddy team. I have upgraded to the Grid account – note that some features arent available (Access Database, Frontpage extensions, streaming video) – so check the FAQ before you upgrade.

I understand this took some time, but given the prices of GoDaddy compared to other provider’s I’ve been happy to wait and glad I didnt wait too long.
