just tried to buy a cheap SSL certificate at $12.99/yr. Selected option 3 yrs @ $12.99/yr and hit add to cart. Cart showed total of around $150.00. Seems like the 3 yrs @ $12.99 wasn’t true. Called up GoDaddy and they say, even though it says that, that isn’t what the offer is. Glad i looked before i purchased!

@jcbx

The $12.99/yr pricing would have been the result of a promotional discount. This could have been removed if you added a different promotional code to your cart or accepted a different discount on a different product. It’s hard to say what could have removed the discount, but it is most often caused by a different discount being applied to the order.

Thanks, but added absolutely no discounts. Only item on cart was SSL certificate. Dropdown said 3 yrs @ $12.99/yr Save 81%. Click on add to cart and you get a much higher price…

@jcbx – Make sure it is the “Single” SSL certificate that you are adding to your cart, and not the “Multiple Domain” certificate.

I wasn’t able to duplicate any issues with adding the SSL to my shopping cart. As @Nate D suggested, you will also want to ensure that you are adding the appropriate certificate to your cart. If you are certain that no other items or promotional discounts were added to your cart, you might want to contact our Billing support team for assistance with completing your order. Our billing team can be reached by emailing billing@godaddy.com or calling them at (480)505-8855.

it looks like they have “fixed” it. interesting as i spent about an hour on the phone with GoDaddy and was informed / assured that only the first year was $12.99 in spite of what the dropdown said. i have the email of the person i dealt with (as i had to send her screen shots and links) so i will send her a note asking for some sort of explanation.

This is getting NOT interesting. It worked as you said yesterday so i assumed it was “fixed”. Today, no go as i get a price of $113 for 3 yrs at 12.97 at a savings of 81%. here is the link in case you need it (as i would like to see what you get on this).
