Hi,

I had someone install a worpress theme on my site, but decided I wanted a joomla setup instead. I followed a few online instructions and somehow managed to fudge my site up completely.

I asked GoDaddy to sort of wipe my site so I could start again, which seems to be taking them and age. What should it go back to when they are done?

@diy_nightmare,

It sounds like you are wanting to uninstall the Wordpress from the hosting Account. The steps to accomplish this may be found in the following:

Uninstalling Hosting Quick-Install Applications

If you have performed this action and you still have not had it completed you may wish to contact our Support team to review the specific account in question.

I’ve followed that an uninstalled, but it seems that there are loads of files in the left hand column still. I was following some Joomla setup stuff and it told me to copy them there, but it doesn’t look right :(

If uninstalling your application from the Hosting Connections did not remove your files, you may have also manually installed them. You will want to delete all of the unwanted files using our File Manager or an FTP client as well as any database that you have setup for the application.

Uninstalling WordPress or Joomla! (Manual Install)

There is a link within this article to reinstall Joomla as well. If you run into any other issues, please feel free to post them here and be sure to include your domain name.
