Domain Information – Status: Pending Registration

I have just purchased a domain from GoDaddy. It is a .fr domain name. I wish to update my DNS information so I can setup a Weebly site with this domain name which I have already created. Under Domain Information the Status shows as ‘Pending Registration’ and under DNS Manager is says ‘Domain is not active’. I assumed that my domain registration would be activated upon receipt of payment. Is this not correct? How long do I have to wait for my status to become active? Thanks in advance!

Most domains are available within minutes after your register them, however ccTLDs such as .fr are different. The domain being in a pending registration status is normal as it may take up to 48 hours for the registration process to complete with the registry. The domain will not be active until that takes place. Once active, you will be able to modify the DNS. If the domain is not active within 48 hours, contact our support team.
