External Domain/Email hosting on Godaddy.

Hi, I have an external email and domain service with another company, and a webhosting with godaddy. After i changed my DNS name server for my domain to godaddy’s, my email stopped working. I’ve emailed the other company regarding this, and they sent me directions to change A records and MX settings. I have changed them, and yet my email still fails to work. How do I fix this problem?

If the DNS changes were just recently made, you may want to give the DNS settings time to propagate.
What factors affect DNS propagation time?
If your email still isn’t working after a few hours, please post the domain in question so we can take a look. Thanks!
