GoDaddy ‘s reaction to SOPA related boycott not enough

‘Fighting online piracy is of the utmost importance, which is why Go Daddy has been working to help craft revisions to this legislation—but we can clearly do better,’ Warren Adelman, Go Daddy’s newly appointed CEO, said.”
Way to dance around the issue GoDaddy, but we can clearly do better.
The legislation is not needed, I’m curious to why GoDaddy would have ever supported this… They surely wouldn’t use their large number of patents (65; 200+ pending) in conjunction with SOPA-like bills to shut down competition!
Until GoDaddy gets a clue and changes their stance to being opposed to all SOPA-like legislation (The kind that destroys the Internet) My business and I and our network of influence will continue to boycott you.

I’m a GoDaddy customer in Portugal. I’m only just picking up the SOPA story.
Can anyone give me a very brief synopsis of what SOPA is?

We’ve listened to our customers. Go Daddy is no longer supporting the SOPA legislation. Click here to find out more.

Flip Flop, Way to late, GD…….I have moved all my accounts, and I am holding workshops today and tomorrow teaching people how they can switch.

Thanks for withdrawing support for SOPA. I like GoDaddy, but I WOULD have migrated several dozen domains to other registrars if GoDaddy had not reversed course.

Too late Go Daddy! I’m transferring my three domains to Namecheap. Bye!!

As a 5+ year customer, I do not support SOPA or PIPA. I’m not going to move my business, but it may effect the way I make decisions in the future regarding hosting and domain name purchases.
If it’s true that GoDaddy no longer supports these bills, I am thankful. Although, I remain troubled that they would have ever shown support for them.

Well done, I was looking at options for moving my business. Thanks for doing the right thing, and saving me the trouble. SOPA/PIPA are bad news.

I am glad I have already taken my business elsewhere and will never come back if things dont work out with my current provider. You should NEVER had supported it to begin with.

I am still waiting to see how GoDaddy chooses to move forward. If it doesn’t take a much more agressive stance against SOPA and PIPA instead of the diplomatic verbal dribbel of to date, I will move my domains and hosting elsewhere as well.
On the other hand, the fact they supported it at all should be reason enough maybe.

Apparently GoDaddy won’t approve my earlier post saying that I had moved my eight domains elsewhere. Maybe they’ll approve this one. I made the move yesterday (12/29).
