@jarule

Sounds like you might need to check the permissions for the folder that it’s trying to create the new one in. I’m not sure if you’re using Windows or Linux, so check out these articles:

I am using Windows Shared Hosting Account and can’t install extensions on my Godaddy joomla remote server.
The following is the error: I tried to enable permissions in the hosting center by selecting the folder e.g. modules, components but the permission button is disabled

JFolder::create: Could not create directory
Module Install: Failed to create directory.: “D:Hosting7152103htmlmodulesmod_beautiful_slideshow”
the same for compnents

Please any help!

You will want to go back and try to update the folder permissions again. This time, make sure that you are only selecting folders. If a file is selected along with the folders, you will be unable to update the permissions using the File Manager. If you are still unable to update the directories’ permissions, you’ll want to get in touch with our 24 hour support team through http://support.godaddy.com/support so our tech guys can review your hosting account specifically.

@alexit

You are welcome to install Joomla in the root of your hosting account. If you continue to receive this error, you will want to get in touch with our 24 hour support team. There may be a permissions issue within the hosting account that you do not have access to fix.

Additionally, if you do not have a need for any languages that are only supported in the Windows hosting environment, you may want to consider migrating to a Linux hosting plan. Joomla is a PHP based application and most Joomla users recommend the Linux environment.
