@qambar,

I’ve reviewed your issue with our Hosting Support team, and there is an issue with database setup times being delayed longer than usual. I apologize if its causing inconvenience. We’re working to correct the issue as soon as we can.

Thanks.

@bigmac,

As I mentioned to @qambar, we are experiencing some delays with set up of hosting databases. The time frame, typically, should not extend past 24 hours for database set up. However, if it does, please reply and we’ll take a closer look at your hosting account.

Thanks for being patient.

Are you guys doing anything to solve this? Your reply was 3 weeks ago and now I’m having the same problem. I created database and email account, it took so long to be activated.

I just don’t get it. How do you guys create this database in the first place? Are you create it manually when there’s a request from customer? At other hosting I can create database and email account without hassle and process all automatic. I don’t have to wait server admin to create for.

@thegreatoracle

The databases creation process is automated and processed in order of its request.

@nizer

Is the new database still in this status?

@gambar: Yes , we need a logical reason , why cheap hosting accounts create databases instantly and why godaddy takes massive time to create a simple database.

@bigmac: Do you think other hosting companies don’t get these kind of attacks , you think only the godaddy having problems, Almost all of the hosting companies having problems , but they run smoothly almost every time. Because they have good management, technicians and good equipments.

As the gamber said,we are loosing trust in godaddy hosting.

This is why I tell people not to use GoDaddy for hosting. You do realize that this is not normal. Database creation should take as long as it takes you to blink an eye. Go to almost any other hosting company and database creation is INSTANT. Find any hosting company that uses cpanel/whm. When you type in the database name and click on “save” it is created right then. And the prices are the same.

I don’t get why people are willing to settle for this type of stuff

We are aware that the databases are taking a little longer to create as there is some queuing within the automated process. If it goes over 24 hours, please contact our support team using the link that Christian provided.

@Admin852 and @patrick_allmon

I can understand the frustration and while the database creation is normally pretty instant we experience issues from time to time. We hope to have everything cleared up quickly for you guys and appreciate the patience.

I am having the same problem!!!!!!!!
What a pity! It has been more than 24hours to set up a Wordpress database. Is it believable with Godaddy? It is my mistake to buy a hosting with Godaddy. I am waiting for Support team to response my problem, which is also a common problem here.

I agree with Patrick and that is the primary reason why I never recommend GoDaddy hosting to anyone. It’s beyond comprehension why so many operations on GoDaddy take so obscenely long.

Creating databases, as mentioned by Patrick, happens as quickly as you can click the button on other hosts. You have people reporting here that it takes hours, sometimes days and I have experienced that very issue myself every single time I have to move a website that my clients have purchased to their GoDaddy hosting account.

It’s beyond belief how a simple operation could take so long. Doing other simple operations like installing Wordpress also take a very long time when again, on other hosts, it is instant.

I can’t think of any logical reason why these operations take so long and how there could be such a massive discrepancy in speed between GoDaddy and other modern hosts. It’s almost as if these operations are going into a queue where a human being has to come along and manually process them. That’s the only logical explanation that would explain why very simple operations take hours, when other hosts completele them as quickly as you can push a button.

If GoDaddy would get their act together I would gladly switch all of my hosting accounts to them, simply because I do use them for all of my domain registrations and it is nice to have everything under one roof. But as things stand, I wouldn’t touch their hosting with a ten foot pole.

This isn’t meant as an attack on GoDaddy, it’s just meant to express the general frustration of myself and many of your users about the quality of your hosting service.

I’ve been waiting for almost 3 hours to get my account activated so I can try and active my MYSQL database .. and it’s very annoying, I’ve done this a million times on other hosting servers. Can i get a refund, now? I’m moving elsewhere

@isabellafor

I am not aware of any issues with account or database setup taking longer than normal time frames currently. You can contact our Support Team with any questions regarding the status of your hosting plan setup as well as any applicable refunds for your hosting plan.
